Terms of Delivery
Please read the information below carefully An SMS Text will be made to the customer’s mobile or phone call to a nominated landline one business day prior to delivery day with a four hour delivery window. Please be aware that the delivery window is given as a guide and is in no way binding. It is your responsibility to ensure that you, or your representative, are available (and contactable) on the date that you choose.
If a customer provides details that are inaccurate or incomplete and the driver has attempted to complete its service, the customer will be charged a redelivery fee. This fee will also be incurred if the customer, or their representative, is not available (and contactable) at the nominated delivery address within the delivery window.
Customers must ensure that items purchased will fit inside the house/unit i.e. large items measured before delivery. If the goods are to be delivered to a location other than on ground level, then sufficient access much be available by a staircase containing no more than 3 flights or a lift.
If the driver considers that the room of your choice is unsuitable and that delivery into that room is likely to cause damage to the goods or property, the driver will inform you of this and will only proceed with the delivery if a waiver is signed by you. If you accept delivery in spite of such concern and you have signed the waiver Lock and Store do not have any liability whatsoever for any damage caused to the goods or to your property as a consequence of attempting such delivery on your instructions (providing we take reasonable care)
We are not require to unpack, remove rubbish or assemble items as part of the delivery service unless otherwise negotiated.
Over balcony/veranda/porch/railing deliveries are generally not part of our delivery service (due to height restrictions and driver Health and Safety). However, we will consider each case individually and quote accordingly.
Changes or cancellations for your delivery can only be made by 12pm the day before delivery. An administration fee may be charged for orders cancelled or changed after this time.
You will be liable for the delivery charges if delivery cannot be made to the location specified due to the nature of premises, insufficient access or space or any other reason not attributable to us (which shall include your absence).
On delivery, you or your representative will be required to check the condition of the packaging and whether the correct number of items have been delivered. In the event of damaged and/or missing items. You (or your representative) must contact Lock and Store within 24 hours.
